Our Mission
At The Tiana Project, we are dedicated to empowering and uplifting underserved communities by providing essential resources, support, and opportunities for individuals facing hardship. Our mission is to serve the homeless, rehabilitate and reintegrate individuals with felony records, and create brighter futures for low-income children. Through housing assistance, job training, mentorship, and education, we strive to break cycles of poverty, reduce recidivism, and inspire lasting change. We believe in second chances, dignity for all, and the power of community to transform lives.
Our Founder
Employment
By employing a vulnerable population, we wish to provide them with a stable income and routine. Many people who have criminal backgrounds have a hard time finding good paying, consistent jobs. We wish to provide a different and better experience for all involved.
The Services We Provide
Education
As our employees continue to grow in their lives, we wish to be able to support them in any educational endeavours they want to pursue. We will do this by providing tuition reimbursement and financial support for miscellaneous things needed.
In the future, we also wish to provide direct educational opportunities by hosting different speakers to talk on different social issues impacting different communities. These opportunities will be hosted for both our employees and the public.
Housing
Later down the road, a goal of The Tiana Project is to buy an abandoned building in Dallas, Texas, and turn it into housing units. This will provide affordable housing for those who have a harder time finding it.
